Tranny is an abbreviation for transsexual. A transsexual is someone that has sex with a Transformer. Just kidding. It is a person who identifies themselves with a gender that differs from their biological gender. It’s kind of confusing, but maybe this will help:
Transsexual people generally describe their sex desire using their gender as a touchstone. For example, a transgendered lady, or an individual who is born with male genitals and transitions to female, and who is sexually drawn to females is identified as a gay woman (lesbian). Similarly, a transgendered dude, or a tranny who was born with female genitals and transitions to male, and who is sexually drawn to guys would be described as a gay man.
Got that straight? No pun intended.
Unfortunately, the word tranny still has negative connotations to it.
