A girlie magazine is a porn magazine. Which actually surprised me, since I thought it was more likely to take on the category of ‘chick lit’, so magazines for chicks, or something. Like ‘People Magazine’ or ‘Us’ or ‘Why Can’t We Be Both? The Magazine for Madonnas AND Whores’ (okay, that last one doesn’t exist…yet).
But no, a girlie magazine is straight up porn. Usually for straight people. Almost never for girlies. Weird, I know. Kind of misleading, actually.
I haven’t spent a lot of time reading girlie magazines. I’m more of a porn watcher myself, more of an Internet porn surfer, really. Still images don’t tend to do it for me. I need the movement, the action, the sound, the moaning. I need the idea that it’s happening in real time, and everyone’s getting something interesting out of it. Magazines don’t really allow for that interactive experience.
When I first got into porn it was later on in life and it was the Internet that allowed me to fully explore that part of my sexuality. I was stunned when I found out how much sex there was to watch and how little time I actually had during the day to get through all those hot videos. I’ve always appreciated that there is a plethora of fantasies and bodies and sexual acts available for viewing. I mean, yes a lot of it is fantasy specifically for straight male consumption (complete with facials), but if you’re willing to do a little wading and sifting and see what you can find, you’re likely to be pleasantly surprised.
1. Chase got his first girlie magazine at nine-years-old. He followed his older brother Devon out to the tree house in their backyard. Devon didn’t know he was being followed, he just knew that at thirteen, he needed a private place where he could jerk himself off without his mother barging in to ‘clean his room’. So when Chase caught him, not quite in the act but almost, Devon threw a couple of magazines to him and told him to shut up and that if he told anyone about this he’d get his ass kicked. Chase nodded, wide-eyed. He slumped to the floor and started turning the pages of his newfound treasure. There were naked women everywhere in that magazine. Huge round breasts stared at him accusingly, curves of hip and ass made his lower gut shudder, round triangles shaved clean or with a tiny trail of bush smiled their crooked smiles. Chase’s groin was tingly and he felt funny all over. He tried to stand but he felt faint. His brother glanced over at him and grinned. Little brother, you’ve got wood. Chase looked down. Something was poking hard against the inside of his pants.
2. Girlie magazines should probably just be called porn mags, so as not to confuse the parents of little girls into thinking that there are magazines gears towards their sweet innocent daughters and their interests. Yeah, that’s not awkward at all.
