The term used to describe either the person playing the submissive role in BDSM activities or the person being penetrated in sex between two men.
In William Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream, there is a character named Bottom who has the head of a donkey and who pals around with guys named Snout, Snug, Starveling, Flute, and Quince.
