When sexual partners pretend to be animals to increase arousal. This can involve simple role playing, such as barking like a dog; props, like collars and leashes; or elaborate animal costumes. People who become aroused when dressing up in cartoon-style animal costumes are called “furries.” The furry subculture is only part of the many aspects of sexualized animal play.

Animal play is quite separate from, and should not be confused with, bestiality. Most people who enjoy animal play during sex have no interested whatsoever in having sex with actual animals. Which is kind of a relief, to be honest.
