Pornstar Asa Akira has recently put out a new book detailing her life in the adult industry. A life which she says is the life she wished for since middle school, when most girls were aspiring doctors, lawyers and fashion designers. Back in fourth grade she was called a “slut,” before even having any idea what that actually meant.

“The girls were just really glamorous. They were having sex for money. I thought, ‘What’s better than that?’ ”

Since following her dreams she has made herself one of the most well known pornstars in the industry. Not only that, she’s also on of the most wealthy pornstars in America with a net worth of over $1.5 million. She has appeared in over 300 porn films with popular porn studios like Wicked Pictures, Evil Angel, Brazzers and many more. She also has directed for Elegant Angel a number of times in the past few years. In the book she writes that the porn industry has,

“shaped me into a woman I had always hoped I would be. I’ve become more confident, more empowered, more sure of myself than I’ve ever been. There’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.”
