British Telecom Switches On Default Internet Porn Filter

Prime Minister David Cameron

Earlier this year the UK’s largest Internet provider, BT Group Inc (BT, Formally British Telecom), announced they were going to begin filtering their customers access to online content, including mainstream pornography sites such as Orgasm.com, a decision which was highly supported by the British Government and British Prime Minister David Cameron. The controversial announcement led to an online out cry by free speech activists around the globe, claiming the restriction of online content was a violation of their rights, however those claims were quickly undermined by the government and mainstream media as they claimed restricting the general publics access would hinder the online actions of child pornographers.

Existing customers will be asked over the course of the next year if they would like to ‘opt in’, with the options being “Strict”, “Moderate” & “Light”. All three filters cover pornography, ‘obscene and tasteless’ content, hate and self-harm, drugs, alcohol and tobacco and dating sites.

Truth be told, there are a number of ways online users can get around Internet filters and find the adult content they are looking for. In fact, readers can check out our blog on how to avoid Internet Filters. After checking it out, be sure to swing by the Orgasm.com home page for the best free porn on the Internet.
