A new study has come forth stating the human obsession with porn is not as male dominating as suspected. Ann Summers, a british online retailer of sex toys and erotic material conducted the recent study and it brought forth some surprising results.

The study shows that 55% of women surveyed have watched porn, alone, at least once a month, with 40% of the women surveyed admitting to watching it at least once a week, and 9% admitting they watch it daily.

The type of adult video content varies as well. 73% of those admitting they watch adult content say they have watched soft core porn, 47% admitting to watching role paying porn, and 21% saying they enjoy fetish-related adult content, a wide variety.

The study goes on to explain say that 96% of the female viewers have watched porn with a partner, and 58% say that doing so has added a positive change in the couples sex life, and 23% saying it has brought them closer together.

With numbers like that, it’s no surprise that 40% of the women surveyed have admitted they have turned the cameras on themselves, filming their own sexual escapades for their own viewing pleasures. Surprisingly, 66% of those admitting to creating their own adult videos have stated they used a smartphone to do so. Not surprising as the use of mobile phones seems to be a rising trend in viewing pornography.

Homemade amateur porn videos have been a rising niche over the past decade, after the 1990s bombarded porn viewers with the typical blonde hair and big fake tit porn stars. Since then, many viewers have been on the search for more authentic men and women on screen.
