Porn Star Trinity St. Clair is driven and doesn’t consider porn as merely a stepping stone towards another career path. Trinity considers porn her career and she loves it! Orgasm News’ Dave Kingsley had a chance to speak with Trinity about getting into porn, her success, and the importance of branding/marketing to her career.

 

Dave Kingsley: So, first of all, Trinity, what attracted you to the adult industry and what did you do before?

Trinity St. Clair: Before I got into the industry I was focusing on my BA in psychology and I was also working at a gynecologist’s office. So, I had no intentions of getting into the industry whatsoever but what kind of struck a nerve with me, I guess, I had an ex-boyfriend who took a clip of us and…he enjoy[ed] porn. However, I had never really watched it at all. He suggested that, you know, . . . He said, “You know, you look really good on camera.”  I’m like, “Okay.”  He said, “You should think about it.”  I’m like, “No. You’re out of your mind.”

 

Of course, he put the little bug in my brain and I did look up an agency and they flew me down here and I shot my first scene and I’ve been doing it ever since. I fell in love with it!

 

DK: You have like a really interesting name: Trinity St. Clair. How did you come up with it?

Trinity: Well Trinity is . . . Actually there’s a lake that I grew up by called ‘Trinity Lake.’ So, I’m an outdoors kind of girl. I love camping. So, it was just a name that I really enjoy. So, I picked that for Trinity Lake and then, Saint is because I’m Catholic. I’m full Italian. So . . . Then, Claire just was an add-on that Shy Love actually threw at me. She was like, “Why don’t you add Claire at the end?” So I did. And there you have it, Trinity St. Clair!

 

DK: That’s funny because I just spoke with Brandy Aniston and she said Shy Love gave her her name as well.

Trinity: Shy is good at picking out names. I give her credit.

 

DK: You talked a little bit about your Italian heritage and you grew up in a Catholic household. Has you family and friends been supportive?

Trinity: Absolutely. I was raised by my mom and my grandma. I’m very honest and I’ve never been a liar whatsoever. So, my thing was to be very honest with my family as well. My mom and my grandma both knew the first day that I did my first scene. They knew that I was flying down to LA to shoot an adult scene. There was no lying, from day one. I told them that I was going to go down to LA and I was going to shoot an adult film. They were not happy. They weren’t like, “Oh, joy. This is what I’ve always wanted you to do,”. . . My grandma wasn’t happy but my mom said whatever I do as long as I’m safe and happy, that’s all that matters to her.

 

And now, they are extremely proud of me because they’ve seen that I’ve taken this very seriously and that this is my career. I’m not doing this to pay for bills or pay for my schooling or just getting in to try it. I’ve been in the industry for three years now and I’m slowly making this my [career]

 

I just got incorporated [Trinity St. Clair] and so I’m very excited about that. You know, this is my career. This is what I plan to do for my life. I love the adult industry and why would I want to leave it when I feel like I never work a day in my life because if you love what you do, you never feel you work.

 

DK: What are some of the projects you’re working on at the moment?

Trinity: Well, right now, it’s all about my website which is TrinitySt.Clair.com and I’ve actually been looking into starting my own DVD line, which will be really exciting. I have my own camera and my own lighting that I’ve invested in and so, I’m kind of looking at…stepping behind the camera as well as performing in front of it, which is really exciting for me.

 

I might start doing a little clothing line because, if you know who Trinity St. Clair is, you know I call my vagina ‘Little T.’ So, Little T and Trinity St. Clair might be having a little clothing line out soon, which will be fun.

DK: A lot of adult film stars that I’ve been interviewing . . . This kind of uncanny thing: they are always branding, always marketing, I always hear about this  savviness and for you what are some of the most important things you get out there? What’s the most important thing in terms of marketing and branding yourself?

Trinity: To me, getting out there that I have . . . I don’t look like the average porn star or porn actress. I really don’t believe in porn stars, as much, anymore. So its: adult models…When you see me, you’re going to get something different. My goal is to please the fans and please everyone who watches me. I enjoy what I do so much and it comes out in all aspects.

 

I have a bit of an aura that I carry with me and, so, when you’re around me, you feel it and that’s kind of what I put out in my movies is that I want to bring in the fan and make them know that I’m shooting this movie to make everyone realize that I love what I do. I want them to feel that I love what I do. So, it’s all about pleasing the fan and getting them to see me as me.

 

DK: Also, you touched upon being incorporated, ‘Trinity St. Clair.’ For you, getting up to that point, which is a pretty big deal, was it something that you were thinking about when you entered into the industry?

Trinity: Well, when I first got into the industry, from day one, I always said I wasn’t going to be a starlet. I said I wasn’t going to be a one-hit wonder. I’m going to stick around. I never thought about incorporating. I never thought that I could actually get to that level….I wasn’t even thinking about producing my own porno, whatnot. So, when it started like getting bigger and you start like seeing other branches of making yourself well known, that’s when I was like, “This is what I want to do.”…So, that’s how I kind of like started saying, “Okay. I’m at this point. Now I want to incorporate and see where I go from there.”

 

DK: One of the most important things that out there is Twitter and social media. For you, how have you been using those platforms to get your brand out there?

Trinity: Well, I am definitely a Twitter whore. I love my Twitter! It’s how I stay in contact with my fans and, for me, it’s also like . . . It’s kind of neat because if I skip a day, I have concerned fans. They’re like, “Where’s Trinity? What is she doing? Where is she at?” So, it’s kind of like everyone’s way of knowing what I’m up to and seeing that I’m not a crazy, crazy girl.

 

I just have a different kind of job, you know? I have a different career. So, I’m very normal and I’m very relaxed and just fun, girl next door completely, but I just have sex on camera and I create a fantasy for many, many men and women, which is lovely. So, that’s how I use it and I’m on Facebook and it’s a way of people to know what you’re up to, what you’re doing and just staying in contact with your fans, 24 hours.

 

DK: You said a very interesting word, ‘fantasy.’ That’s one of my questions for you. What is your ultimate fantasy?

Trinity:  My fantasy is . . . I’m very bisexual and so my fantasy is . . . And I love a lot of interaction. So, surprisingly, like my favorite types of scenes are gangbangs, threesomes and girl-girl actions and that’s what I love.

 

My ultimate fantasy is to be pleased in pretty much all holes and come nonstop and I love girls. So, my thing is to have a major gangbang with a few girls. I mean I don’t want it to be an orgy but I want to gang bang but I also want vagina too! So, in a sense, the girls have a strap on, so they’re gang banging me as well is going to be awesome. That’s my ultimate fantasy.

 

DK: What was the craziest sexual thing you’ve ever done?

Trinity: The craziest sexual thing I’ve ever done is probably . . . Well was definitely one of the most interesting feelings I’ve never experienced. That, and then being tied up while being fucked. That was definitely interesting because, you know, you’re being . . . You’re coming but you can’t do anything about it. They keep like making you come. You can’t do anything about it. So, you’re coming. You’re squirting. It’s like these feelings that you’ve never experienced. Not only have you not experienced it but you’ve never felt [it]. So, that, I just fell in love with that emotion and that feeling. So, that’s what I love.

 

DK: And when you discovered that, you’re still continuing with that, then, right?

Trinity: Absolutely. 100%. I’m like, “At any time anybody wants to tie me up and fuck me, I’m good. Let’s go!

 

DK: What celebrity would you love to have sex with and why?

Trinity: I honestly don’t know. Like, for me, it’s like celebrities aren’t a big deal, surprisingly. I don’t lust over any celebrities because there’s some really good looking male talent and so that’s . . . I guess I would like to have sex . . . Like female-wise, I would totally like go after Lady Gaga, because she’s crazy. She’s great . . . I think she would be awesome in bed. As guys go…Channing Tatum’s pretty sexy…That’s about it. I’m not too gung ho about fucking any celebrities, really.

 

DK: Fair enough. And, talking a little bit more, kind of like a romantic evening or something, can you describe what a perfect date, for you, would be like?

Trinity: A perfect date for me would be where the guy actually picks me up… actually comes to my place and picks me up. That would be nice. I don’t have to drive anywhere. Takes me to a nice restaurant or somewhere that’s decent.

 

I’m a vegetarian. I’m between vegan and a vegetarian, so somewhere that caters to what I like to eat…then, I really am not a movie type person because if you take me to a movie, I’ll fall asleep!

 

So, somewhere that either we have fun afterwards, you know, we do something . . . So, we can either go to a nice dinner and then go do something crazy, like skydiving or just [do] something fun like go dancing. I just love to have fun. So, you can either take me to a nice restaurant or we can go to a sports bar.

 

Either way, as long as we’re having a good time…the goal isn’t to get into my pants at the end of the night. That’s ideal. So, as long as you treat me like a lady on the first date, can make me laugh and we just have a good time, that’s the perfect fit for me.

 

DK: I know you’ve been in the industry for a number of years now. Have there been any people in the industry who helped you out and whom you consider mentors?

Trinity: Yes. Miles Long is definitely one of the men and, Julie Ann [also  helped me out when I first got into the industry…So, she helped me get a few shoots and gave me some advice about keeping a clean vagina and whatnot. I kind of like called her like my mother of porn. So, she taught me [a lot].

 

Then, from there, you learn how your body reacts to what you do and that was what I enjoy. I got to learn what angles are good for me, how my body reacts to certain scenes and what I enjoy. I continued with that and you also change it up because you might not have like something in the past. Like, I used to not like spanking. Like, “You spank my butt, I’m not going to enjoy it.” Now, I do. Now, it’s like another feeling of like erotic tension and I love it. So, I’m like, “You spank my ass when we’re doing doggy and I’m good.”

 

DK: And looking at the Internet, the last number of years, it’s developed into something quite amazing. For you, do you believe the Internet is doing harm to the porn industry or is it benefiting it?

Trinity: It’s done a lot of harm…unfortunately, you put up a scene and it gets ripped and it gets put up on a porn tube. That’s the one thing that’s really negative…So, unfortunately, if you love porn, you’re going to pay for it. Just like if you love music, you’re going to pay for it.

 

We all want to keep the porn business going. Same with like the music industry. We all want to make sure that the singers and the actresses and the porn models are getting paid, because if they don’t get paid, they’re not going to perform. Then, if they don’t perform, then we don’t have that enjoyment of that hobby. So, as long as you’re a fan, hopefully you’ll pay for it and not go to the free sites and rip it off, where it’s illegal.

 

DK: Now, looking at the industry itself, what has been some of the positives for you as well as some of the negatives that you’ve experienced?

Trinity: I think the best thing that porn has done for me is . . . I’m 22 years old and I accept myself completely. To be 22 years old and accept your body and accept the flaws and everything about yourself, that’s a great achievement. And not only has it done that for me but it makes me feel excited. It’s created a sexual beast out of me. So, the positives of porn is it’s fantasy and it’s a relief for people and it also gets people to experiment and bring different things into their sexual life and everyone needs to do that.

 

The negative part about it is . . . I’m very old school. So, I’m very persistent and being on time is very important for me. There’s a thing called ‘porn time’ in the porn world. No one shows up on time in the porn world, except for Trinity St. Clair, it appears. My grandma has always taught me that if you’re on time, you’re late. If you’re 15 minutes early you’re on time.

 

I’m always 15 to 20 minutes early to set and everyone seems to arrive a half an hour late to set. So, I’m usually a good hour ahead of everyone. So, that’s how it works for me. So, that’s the only negative I can possibly think of and then as far as everything else goes.

 

I love my industry. We’re a family. We look out for each other.
