Back in April, Stacie Halas was suspended from her gig as a teacher for starring in porn.

Halas, who performed under then porn star name Tiffany Six, was noticed by a few students at her high school on several online porn sites which featured the 32-year old teacher, the Ventura County Star reported.

The appeal process is starting now and could last for up to 3 months. Halas’ attorney Richard Schwab told the school panel of administrative judges: “Your job is not to judge what she was in her past but what she is today and what she is today, the evidence will show, is a very fit and a very caring teacher.”

It was also noted that Halas, who was in the porn industry for only 8 months in 2005 to 2006, was not teaching at the time and that she went into porn to pay the bills when her boyfriend abandoned her.

Halas has been on administrative leave since April.
