Orgasm News had a chance to talk to porn star Tuesday Cross about her role in the rock mockumentary ”Tight”. We discussed her favorite bands, the meaning behind her tattoos, what it was like to be in “Tight”, and her musical career.

 

Orgasm News: How did you initially get involved in “Tight”? 

Tuesday Cross: My agent at the time heard about it and thought it would be fitting, since he knew I could never play down my rock style even if I was naked. Finally! A role in a mainstream flick that called for a rockin’ badass, me!”

 

Orgasm News: You beat out Bobbi Starr for the bass player role in “Tight”—was she stiff competition?

Tuesday Cross: Oh did I? pfft…course I would.

 

Orgasm News: Who are your musical influences? 

Tuesday Cross: I have an array of influences all over the musical spectrum, but I always stick to the pioneers in any genre and avoid the sloppy seconds. I’d have to say Wendy O. Williams (from the Plasmatics) really took me for a spin, she is the quintessential mistress of taboo; Jimmy Page & Black Sabbath because they gave me my first taste of dark fuzziness which I am now addicted to. Recently, I’ve been raging on Acid Witch; Bad Brains; The Cramps; The Dicks; Electric Wizard…you know, the good stuff!”

 

Orgasm News: What did you like about the process of filming “Tight”? 

Tuesday Cross: I liked the part where I was getting paid for my wasted shenanigans, playing shows, hardcore loitering and kicking back to watch cat fights.

 

Orgasm News: You’ve played in several rock bands including Hear Kitty Kitty and Tight—have you found a lot of similarities between the music and porn industries?

Tuesday Cross:  Yes I think porn stars and rock stars go hand in hand, like two fucked up peas in an awesome pod. The similarities that stand out to me is that both experience the pressure of performing with an audience and captivating them with sex appeal—having them fall for you, and then making them buckle under your spell to leave them wanting more. It can only be achieved through a genuine act, there’s no faking it. Only posers lip sync and have fake orgasms.

 

Orgasm News: Did you use any rock bands as templates when “Tight” was formed or did you just do your own thing?

Tuesday Cross: I always do my own thing, no one tells me what to do.

 

Orgasm News: You have a very unique name: Tuesday Cross. How did you come up with it? 

Tuesday Cross: [I chose Tuesday after] Tuesday Weld [an] old actress—the name stuck after I watched ‘Sex Kittens go to College.’ And Cross, because of my tattoos obviously. I think it’s a very impressionable name.”

 

Orgasm News: You’re obviously into tattoos. Can you talk about the meanings behind some of them?

Tuesday Cross: Well….my first is my infamous inverted cross, front and center of my chest [which] symbolizes my aversion towards organized religion. Next I got the scripture Lev. 19:28 on my arm in red drippy bubble letters to symbolize my contempt for the Bible. Yes I’ll quote it: “You shall not make any cuts on your body on behalf of the dead or tattoo yourselves. I am the Lord.”

I just recently got a sailor jerry tattoo in New Orleans when my current band, Boots Electric, played at Voodoo Fest, it’s a little red devil with the word voodoo underneath him to remember my very first official tour.

And I’m sure you all saw the tattoo I got by my friend Scotty in the movie. I still got it and [won’t] get it fixed. It symbolizes good times!

 

Orgasm News: Was it easy to work with your co-stars during the filming of “Tight”? If so, did you get close to any of the girls?

Tuesday Cross: I’m a smooth operator. I can get along with anyone. If they’re a bitch its just a fun challenge for me to work them over. But I got along better with Layla [Labelle] because we had nothing in common but booze—and on the road all you need is a drinking buddy…

 

Orgasm News: Why should people watch this movie? 

Tuesday Cross: Because this movie has everything [that a] blockbusters [has]: drama, romance, comedy, violence, horror, nudity, sex, epic failure, substance abuse, verbal abuse, Tommy Rocker, and my Teddy Bear, Atticus, makes a cameo. Oh and I forgot…..me and another girl brawl in my hotel room, but for some reason I’m completely naked and she’s fully dressed. Nonetheless, [we’re] both completely hammered. It will give you a boner and a perhaps bring a tear to your eye (from laughing).
