No More Kate Middleton Photos to be Published?
It looks like Prince William and Kate Middleton, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are launching legal action to prevent further publication of Middleton’s topless photos.
Their legal representatives are appearing in a Paris court on Monday as the royal couple is continuing their tour of southeast Asia. St. James’s Palace released a statement concerning the case: “St James’s Palace confirms that legal proceedings for breach of privacy have been commenced today in France by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge against the publishers of Closer Magazine France.”
Last week, the French publication “Closer” printed topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge. The photos then spread as they were republished by the Irish publication the “Daily Star”. Now, the Italian magazine “Chi” intends a 26-page spread around the topless photos in Monday’s edition.
Both “Closer” and “Chi” were once owned by former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi’s media empire.
Former British Prime Minister John Major, who spoke to the BBC, noted: “The way (these photographs) have been obtained is tasteless. It is the action of a peeping Tom. In our country we prosecute peeping Toms.”
Major continues, “That’s exactly what they have done and they have been peeping with long lenses from a long way away. They’re very distasteful.”
The photos were snapped while Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge were on trip in France last week. They come hot off the heals of photos taken of a very nude and hard partying Prince Harry in Las Vegas two weeks ago.
