It’s the end of August and September is right around the corner. The nights are getting cooler and we can see fall in the near future. But it’s not just the temperatures that cools down when September hits. Our sex drives do too!
Over the past five years, Doctors have been doing a study on Google searches and they have found strong and consistent spikes for three things: porn, online dating, and prostitution.
So, you’re dying to know when the spikes occur? Believe it or not they always came in early summer and early winter.
“It could be something simple: Summertime, beaches, seeing people in bathing suits, our libido gets going. Wintertime we’re confined and cold and we want someone to keep us warm.” said Dr. Patrick Markey director of the Interpersonal Research Laboratory at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
Makes perfect sense to me!
They also ran a study on non sexual terms like “car parts” and there were no variations for words like that.
If I compare this study to my own porn watching habits. The beginning of summer I tend to be extremely horny seeing all the skin around me and yearning on the fact of finding that hot summer fling. In the Winter I become depressed because I have no one and I’m bored, therefore I turn to porn. And I’m sure most of you reading this are shaking your heads up and down because you’re in the exact same boat!
