Most women fret over their weight. Fashion magazine make us wish that we were model thin. Most women don’t remember that 20 years ago in a effort to combat the dieting craze the fashion industry made changes to dress sizes assize 2 was now labeled a 0. And a size 12 was now a 10. Everything shifted in order to make women feel better about themselves.
But it didn’t help very many women for too long. Women still yo-yo dieted and worried about their weight and their dress size. And fast food, sedentary lifestyles made many women heavier than before. A condition usually associated with very wealthy lazy individuals was now epidemic. Women associate how they look with sex appeal. A poor self image base do being overweight or obese for a woman equates to no sex appeal. This imagine makes it hard for a woman to have an Orgasm. This is true even if she is masturbating. But if she is in bed with a man it is so difficult to find that level of feel good that these women become their own self fulfilling prophecy of used. Men and fashion are not to blame here.
Women have bought into the two media driven ideals convenience of processed fast foods and having to be super women and do more, better than any generation before them. But they haven’t done more or better. They work more but they are still paid less. They have less conveniences than middle class women had before them. Their children see less of them. They may have birth control but they have less time to distress and enjoy sex, They are on a path of heart attacks and stress related cancers. Learning to say NO is a big part of bringing on change. Saying no to processed fast foods and indulging in the sexy appeal of preparing meals. Saying no to late nights of extra work and multi-tasking and saying no to just sitting in one place until their backs hurt and their asses spread wide over the chair.
