Veteran porn star Janine Lindemulder had to go up against a U.S. Government Judge for the right to perform in a new Vivid title before she moves to a Portland Oregon halfway house, as recently ordered by the court. It seems the judge was biased having seen the Linda Lovelace documentary; “Inside Deep Throat,” which documents the infamous porn stars’ unsavory experience and opinion of the adult film industry, and ruled that Janine would be prohibited from performing in ANY way, prior to her departure.
But once Janine and her defense attorneys explained that porn was not a “hobby,” that it’s been her career for nearly 23 years, that she is a willing and eager participant, AND that the ruling was in fact impeding her right to work, the judge was forced to rescind…adding however, that he did not approve.
Anyone who follows this sort of thing knows that it is a monumental ruling, and one that can be referenced in future cases that involve adult films, its performers, and the entire free internet porn community. We watch and sift through government investigations like this, with fine toothed combs in order to further our quest to protect free speech, as covered under the U.S. Constitution. The ongoing fight is far from over but this is a stellar notch to add to our collective belts.
Our hats are off to Janine Lindemulder for her win, which is made even more sweet by the fact that the Vivid title in question will also be the first anal scene she’s ever shot.
Thanxxx Judge!
